1 1. Secuencias curriculares correspondientes Área: Inglés SC 9: Hablar sobre planes de viajes Temporalización: 4 sesiones de clase. 1 semana. 1
2 Recuerda El tema principal de esta Unidad de Aprendizaje son los planes de viajes a distintos países y continentes. Los estudiantes aprenden el vocabulario y las expresiones necesarias para desenvolverse satisfactoriamente durante los mismos. Además, se enseñan los medios de transporte que se utilizan para ello y el personal que labora en cada uno y sus respectivas funciones. Situación de Aprendizaje José Luis y Alana planean un viaje para fin de año. Tienen que hacer reservaciones de boletos aéreos, hotel y en restaurantes. El problema es que desconocen las frases idiomáticas que necesitan para hacer estas reservas y viajar hacia el extranjero. Lo comparten con su docente de lengua inglesa. Cómo podemos ayudarlos? Aprendió el vocabulario y expresiones necesarias para desenvolverse con soltura llegado el momento de efectuar un viaje. Responde de forma pertinente a preguntas muy sencillas sobre planes de viaje, a partir de expresiones muy breves y sencillas que escucha, siempre que se hable de manera muy pausada y clara, y se repita cuando sea necesario. Interactúa con sus compañeros, utilizando expresiones muy breves y sencillas relativas a planes de viaje, aunque con muchas pausas y rectificando cuando sea necesario. Responde, a partir de información contenida en textos breves y sencillos, preguntas sobre planes de viaje, releyendo cuando se necesario. Pizarra. Computadora, proyector, bocinas. Hojas de trabajo fotocopiadas. Lápices y/o lapiceros. Colores. Revistas y periódicos. Cartulina. Pegamento. Tijeras. Fichas. Caja de zapatos. Sobre manila. Ordena cronológicamente una lista corta de actividades que se planean realizar durante un viaje, releyendo cuando sea necesario. Intercambia mensajes digitales con sus compañeros sobre planes de viajes, utilizando un repertorio muy limitado de frases y oraciones familiares, aunque con algunos errores gramaticales. Muestra respeto por las costumbres propias de su país y de otros. 3

5 2 Secuencia didáctica 00:90 2 sesiones de clase Actividades 1: Inicio Ordering food in at restaurant Para esta nueva clase, el docente explicará a sus estudiantes, que estarán viendo un nuevo video donde se pone en práctica una conversación al ordenar en un restaurante. Para realizar esta actividad se necesitan los siguientes materiales: Computadora conectada a la red. Proyector. Bocinas. Luego de ver el video, el docente discutirá lo aprendido con sus estudiantes. Harán simulacros donde una parte sean los clientes del restaurante y otros los que atienden en dicho restaurant. En esta dinámica practicarán el vocabulario aprendido en esta unidad. Como recurso adicional, se les entregara a los estudiantes el anexo 1, titulado Family Vacation, donde los estudiantes practicarán la comprensión y, al mismo tiempo, el vocabulario social aprendido en esta unidad. 6 00:90 2 sesiones de clase Actividades 2: Cierre Staged role play Para evaluar esta unidad, estaremos trabajando en un proyecto llamado Staged Role Play. En este proyecto se dividirá el curso en grupos iguales y se harán representaciones de diferentes situaciones. En estas se trabajará el vocabulario social aprendido en esta unidad. El docente debe ayudar a traducir y a montar las representaciones. Esta actividad requiere muy poco trabajo de preparación. Primero, simplemente hacer copias de cada situación para las dramatizaciones (ver anexo 2). Dividirlos en grupos de tres y asignar las dramatizaciones. Normalmente debemos permitir que los estudiantes practiquen por alrededor de 10 minutos para prepararse para actuar en frente de la clase. Que durante los videos a los estudiantes les cuesta entender lo que se está explicando. Trata De traducir lo que sea necesario, pero también practicar la palabra nueva y que la repita varias veces hasta que la aprenda. También puede dibujar imágenes al lado de cada palabra nueva, que le permitan recordar su significado. De ir haciendo pausas y explicando o traduciendo, tomado en cuenta las necesidades de cada uno. 6

You re worried about money and so you d like to find a cheap hotel to stay in. Try and convince your friends that this is the best option. Student B: You ve just arrived in your first country at the beginning of your world tour. You want to start your holiday in style and stay in a nice hotel. Try and convince your friends that this is the best idea. Student C: You ve just arrived in your first country at the beginning of your world tour. Your friends have got different ideas about where they would like to stay. Listen to them and decide who you agree with. 2. Role-play 2 Student A: You re now in your second country but unfortunately you ve just been mugged and have lost your bag with your passport, air tickets and money in it. You re at the police station to report the theft. Student B: You re now in your second country but unfortunately your friend s bag s been stolen. You re at the police station to help your friend. Student C: You re a police officer. Two westerners are in your police station to report a theft. You don t believe their story. Ask them a lot of questions to find out if they are telling the truth. 3. Role-play 3 Student A: Because of the mugging you phone home to talk to your parents. You want your parents to send you some money urgently because you have no money left. Reassure your parents that everything is OK and get as much money as possible. Student B: You are Mum. You are upset about what has happened to your child. You don t want to send him/her any money because you want him/her to come back home immediately. Student C: You are Dad. You are upset about what has happened to your child. You don t want to send him/her any money because you want him/her to come back home immediately. 8
9 4. Role-play 4 Student A: You re in Malaysia and you ve fallen in love with Asia. Now you really want to go to Thailand because you ve heard they ve got the best beaches in the world. Try and convince your friends to come with you. Student B: You re in Malaysia and feel quite happy. Your two friends have got very different ideas about where to go next. Listen to your friends and then tell them what you would like to do. Student C: You re in Malaysia but you want to leave. You are tired of travelling and you miss your home and your home cooking. Try and convince your friends to come home with you. 5. Role-play 5 Student A: You re ecstatically happy. You ve fallen in love with a boy/girl from the country you are visiting and you ve decided you want to buy a house on the beach and live there forever. Tell your friends about your big decision. Student B: Your friend has something important to tell you. Listen carefully and then respond: You think your friend s gone mad and he/she is going to make a terrible decision. Think of all the reasons why his/her plan is crazy and convince him/her to come back home with you. Student C: Your friend has something important to tell you.
