Students must therefore have a medical insurance coverage as a requirement and verify that the insurance policy you carry covers hospitalization and medical care occurring during international travel, as well as repatriation to your home country in case of medical emergency. In Compliance with the Mexican law requirements for Educational Institutions; all International students must have a Mexican Health Insurance when arriving to Mexico for the entire study period. Complementary to your home Country or Institutional health Insurance. Mediacces Company offers to the EBC and affordable Health Insurance. It is mandatory for all international students to purchase the Mexican Health Insurance Coverage before apply to the EBC. You must attach the payment bill when doing the online application form. 7 Application Procedure and Factsheet for Exchange Students Intercambio INFORMACIÓN IMPORTANTE SEGURO DE GASTOS MEDICOS INFORMACIÓN IMPORTANTE QUE DEBE SER LEIDA EN SU TOTALIDAD El estudiante de intercambio es responsable por el costo total de sus tratamientos médicos por enfermedad o emergencia durante su estancia en México. Todos los estudiantes de intercambio deben tener previo a su llegada un Seguro de gastos médicos contra accidentes o enfermedad, mismo que debe cubrir al menos emergencias y repatriación de restos. De acuerdo con la Leyes Mexicanas para las Instituciones de Educación Superior, todos los estudiantes deben contar con un seguro de gastos Médicos Mayores Mexicano que los ampare dentro del País. Es obligatorio para todos los estudiantes internacionales pagar el seguro de gastos Médicos antes de aplicar a la EBC y adjuntar el recibo al momento de realizar la aplicación en línea. A continuación encontrará información sobre cobertura, costo y forma de realizar el pago desde su país. For those who stay less than 180 days, Visa is not necessary (Check at the Mexican Consulate if this statement apply for your nationality). For international students who will be in Mexico for the academic year, Visa is required. It is very important to enquire as early as possible with the closest embassy or the consulate of Mexico in your country for the correct and detailed information. How to apply for a Mexican Visa? POR FAVOR LEA CUIDADOSAMENTE Todos los estudiantes de intercambio deben poseer una visa de estudiante que pueden tramitar en el consulado más cercano en su país de origen. Los estudiantes que vienen por un periodo igual o menor a 180 días pueden entrar sin visado. Por favor revise en el consulado mexicano si esta política aplica para su nacionalidad. Para los estudiantes que vienen por un año académico, es obligatorio tramitar una visa de estudios en el consulado mexicano. Es importante que tan pronto usted reciba su carta de aceptación realice el trámite necesario ante la Embajada o Consulado de México más cercano a su localidad. Cómo aplicar para una visa mexicana? Applicant: The person himself / herself. Where to apply: The embassy or consulate of Mexico at your home Country. Required documents: Refer to the required documents listened according to the embassy. Registration at the Instituto Nacional de Migraciones (INM) During the introduction week we have an appointment with the INM (Detailed information will be done when arriving to EBC) NOTE: For those students pursuing an Internship in Mexico, we strongly recommend to apply for the entire academic year to the EBC. In this way the EBC is able to support you and help you with the documents required by the company. Por favor consulte: Quién debe aplicar? R: La persona interesada Dónde aplicar? Proceso de Registro ante el Instituto de Migración. Una vez llegando a la EBC y durante la semana de inducción, el estudiante internacional recibirá apoyo del Coordinador de Estudiantes de Intercambio para realizar su registro ante la Institución correspondiente y recibir su estatus de residente temporal. NOTA: Para aquellos estudiantes que desean hacer una Práctica Profesional en México, recomendamos aplicar a la EBC por un periodo de un año académico, con ello usted recibirá una carta de aceptación equivalente a un año y facilitará a la EBC apoyarlo en la búsqueda de prácticas profesionales y en los documentos que requiera la compañía o empresa.

9 Application Procedure and Factsheet for Exchange Students Intercambio COURSE OFFER / OFERTA ACADEMICA Please read carefully / Por favor lea con atención COURSES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS It is important to mention that you will cover the number of credits or courses established in your leaning agreement, according to your academic coordinator at your home University. Go to the list below and choose courses from the field(s) of study you re interested in. Course descriptions are not available yet. These will be provided during the introduction week. The usual workload for a semester is courses, usually they are or credits (ECTS), so choose between three and five courses. The minimum number of credits you have to take depends on the requirements of your home university. Make sure the language of instruction is right for you. When a course is taught in English and Spanish, usually arrangements can be made for exchange students to participate fully, e.g. by extra assignments, in order to earn the required number of credits and final grade. Spanish courses are courses at BA-level that are open to all exchange students. Most of them don t have specific entry requirements. You will have two weeks after semester start to confirm your academic workload. After this time changes cannot be done. CURSOS PARA ESTUDIANTES INTERNACIONALES Es importante que consideres que deberás cubrir el número de cursos establecido por tu Universidad de origen en el Learning Agreement. Consulta la lista de cursos que incluimos aquí y selecciona los cursos del programa de estudios de tu interés. La descripción de cursos estará disponible al momento de tu llegada a la EBC o puedes contactar a tu Coordinador de intercambio en el Campus de la EBC para solicitar mayor información. Un estudiante de intercambio puede tomar hasta cursos por semestre, estos cursos comprenden regularmente entre y ECTS. El porcentaje de créditos que debes cubrir dependerá de tu Universidad de origen y debes consultarlo con tu Coordinador Académico. La mayoría de nuestros cursos no tienen prerrequisitos por lo que será fácil que puedas seguir una carga académica con las materias que deseas llevar quizá el único inconveniente sea el cruce de horarios. Tendrás dos semanas después de que inicien las clases para poder hacer cambios a tu programa académico. Después de estas dos semanas ningún cambio podrá ser arreglado. Course Registration After having been admitted as international student under the exchange program, you still have to complete your academic registration. In attachment, you will find the Course Registration Form please follow the instructions, list the courses of your preference and upload the form when apply online. Registro de Cursos Después de haber sido admitido como estudiante internacional en el programa de intercambio, tendrás que completar el registro académico, aquí encontrarás el documento adjunto con la Forma de Registro de Cursos por favor sigue las instrucciones. Selecciona los cursos de interés y adjunta la forma al realizar la aplicación online. 8

10 Application Procedure and Factsheet for Exchange Students Intercambio COURSE SELECTION SIX-WEEK COURSES The EBC- Educational System has its own particularity. During the first, second, third and fourth semester of each academic program (Management, Accounting, Marketing, Commerce and International Business, etc.) students take six-week courses including examination. At the end of 30 working days, you will obtain a grade and number of credits. This period is called BINA: FALL SEMESTER B1 BINA 1 August 18 - September 19 B2 BINA 2 September 22 - October 31 B3 BINA 3 October 31 December 12 SPRING SEMESTER B1 BINA 1 February 1 - March 28 B2 BINA 2 March 31 - May 9 B3 BINA 3 May 12 - June 20 It is important to mention that this kind of courses are offered all the semester and you can define your academic schedule with B1, B2 or B3 Note: BINAS are not available for Master Students at the MA Program. But they can take BINA courses by following the BA Program. In this case they must consider the entire BA study period. SEMESTER COURSES Those are regular courses and the workload is along semester including final examinations. FALL SEMESTER From mid-august to mid-december SPRING SEMESTER From mid-february to mid-june Check the academic calendar. All Bachelor students must consider the entire academic calendar for the entire study period. NOTE: English Courses and Timetables will be available at list one month before the start of the semester SELECCIÓN DE CURSOS CURSOS DE SEIS SEMANAS El Sistema de estudios de la EBC tiene su propia particularidad. Este sistema sólo existe para el 1º y 2º año de la Licenciatura de cualquiera de los programas que imparte la EBC. Los estudiantes toman estos cursos con duración de seis semanas incluyendo las examinaciones finales. Al finalizar el programa de 30 días de trabajo intensivo los estudiantes obtienen todos los créditos de la materia. A este periodo se le llama BINA: BINA PARA EL SEMESTRE DE OTOÑO B1 BINA 1 Agosto 18 - Setiembre 19 B2 BINA 2 Septiembre 22 - Octubre 31 B3 BINA 3 Octubre 31 - Diciembre 12 BINA PARA EL SEMESTRE DE PRIMAVERA B1 BINA 1 Febrero 1 - Marzo 28 B2 BINA 2 Marzo 31 - Mayo 9 B3 BINA 3 Maoy 12 - Junio 20 Es importante mencionar que estos cursos se ofrecen a lo largo del semestre y debe definir su horario académico acorde con la B1, B2 o B3 Nota: Las BINAS no están disponibles para el programa de Maestría. Los estudiantes de Maestría pueden seguir cursos de BINA sólo en caso de tomar cursos de Licenciatura. Es importante que consideren la duración del programa de estudios para Licenciatura. CURSOS DE SEMESTRE Estos son cursos regulares con una duración de todo el semestre incluyendo examinaciones finales. SEMESTRE DE OTOÑO De mediados de agosto a finales de diciembre SEMESTRE DE PRIMAVERA De mediados de febrero a finales de junio. Por favor revise el calendario académico. Todos los estudiantes de Licenciatura deben considerar el periodo completo de agosto a diciembre aun cuando sigan cursos de BINA. NOTA: Los cursos impartidos en inglés y horarios estarán disponibles al menos un mes antes del inicio de clases. 9
