Me divertí muchísimo. Mi pobre hermano Juan estaba en apuros (was in trouble). (He deserved it.) I celebrated 15 years of age. In this story, I ll tell you about my birthday party. It was a very special party. I was very excited. I put on a pink and very pretty dress. I put on my white, high-heeled shoes. I felt like a princess. My family prepared the party. All the members of my family were at the party, my cousins, my aunts and uncles, and my grandparents. And also, all of my friends. There were more than 150 persons. My grandmother prepared an enormous cake. It was pink and very pretty. There was a lot of food, and everyone ate and ate. My aunts chatted a lot with the grandmothers and cousins. After eating, a mariachi group sang all night. I danced a waltz with my father. And then, I danced with all the men and young ones. Everyone danced a lot. It was the party of my dreams. I enjoyed myself a lot. The next day I learned that my mom had forgotten to buy a cake. And, that my brother bought an ugly, little cake. My poor brother Juan was in trouble. But, it didn t matter because my grandmother brought the perfect cake. Juan did not have a piece of my grandmother s cake; he had to eat the ugly cake. He deserved it. In the end, this celebration of my 15 years was perfect. Lesson 65 Story 2 Page 8
