Susan: Hola Señor Matt, yo bien, y tú? Matthew: Yo estoy genial! Por favor, te puedes presentar? Susan: Claro! Mi nombre es Susan y nací en Nueva York en Estamos contentos de ayudaros a aprender inglés Audición 2 Matthew: Now, let s listen an example of how two people say hello Susan: Hello! I m Susan. What s your name? Mathew: Good afternoon! My name is Matthew. Susan: Hello Matthew, nice to meet you! Mathew: Nice to meet you, too. Susan: How are you? Mathew: Fine, thank you. And you? Susan: I am very good! Matthew: Ok, bye! 1.4
Matthew: Buenas tardes! Me llamo Matthew. Susan: Hola Matthew, encantada! Matthew: Encantado! Susan: Qué tal? Mathew: Bien, gracias. Y tú? Susan: Estoy muy bien Matthew: ok, adiós Susan: adiós 1.5

Matthew: Where were you born? Susan: I was born in New York city. Matthew: Are you a teacher? Susan: No, I m not. I am a tourist guide. Matthew: Thanks, Susan! Susan: You are welcome! 10 Matthew: Eres profesora? Susan: No, soy guía turística. Matthew: Gracias, Susan! Susan: De nada! Es un placer Ejercicio Exercise 1. Señala la palabra que oigas 1.7
1.3 Vocabulario It is very important to know some new vocabulary. In this topic we are learning the alphabet, the greetings, the titles, and the cardinal numbers from 0 to 50. Then you have two exercises very easy to practice. Let s start! 1.8
1.3.2 Los saludos Greetings in English ESPAÑOL Hola Buenos días Buenas tardes Buenas noches Adiós Hasta luego Hasta pronto Ten un buen día! Qué tal?, Cómo estás? Bien, gracias Muy bien, genial Bien Muy bien De maravilla, excelente Más o menos, así así No muy bien Mal INGLÉS Hello / Hi Good morning Good evening/afternoon Good night Good bye/bye See you later See you soon Have a nice day! How are you? Fine, thank you Great Good Very good Terrific So so Not good Bad Los títulos TITLES Los títulos se añaden al apellido de una persona para mostrar su posición oficial o simplemente respeto. Son: Mr, Mrs, Ms, Miss, Sir, Madam Mr = Sr. Mrs = Sra Miss = Srta. Ms = Sra. o Srta. Por ejemplo: 1.9
Mr Smith and.mrs Smith Miss Murphy. Mrs. Mesdames Miss Misses Ms. - Mses. or Mss. Good morning, madam! Cardinal numbers: 1.10
1.4 Gramática The grammar is very important to learn a language. It is necessary to learn some grammatical rules to improve a language. In this topic we will learn how to express the age, to use the verb to be born, the personal pronouns, and the verb To be. Then we will practice doing exercises. Let s start!
I am at the university. Estoy en la universidad. We are in Spain. Estamos en España. They are happy. Por ejemplo: I am = I m.
Por ejemplo: A. How old are you?
I have five. X I am five. En la respuesta se utiliza también el verbo to be: I m x years old o I m x. Que significa: Tengo x años o Tengo x. Otro ejemplo: A: How old are you? B: I m fifteen years old/ I m fifteen A: Cuántos años tienes? B: Tengo 15 años /Tengo 15 La edad RECUERDA En inglés y en español no coincide exactamente la estructura para preguntar la edad, ya que la traducción literal al español de HOW OLD ARE YOU? Sería Cómo de viejo eres?, y la de I m fifteen years old sería Soy 15 años viejo. Significa nacer. I was born in Dublin. Nací en Londres. Iwas born in 1978 Nací en
