Our teachers are among the most caring and innovative in the world. They reach out to each and every child and give support in every way imaginable. This is a great school and everyone here is PROUD TO BE A DRAGON! It is my mission to ensure that Sherard Elementary School continues to be one of the best. We intend to nurture our students and continue to help them develop integrity and values. By working as a team, we will produce some of the smartest, most confident students the world has ever seen. We encourage parental involvement, so if ever any parents would like to volunteer or donate items, feel free. With the help of parents, we will ensure that these students will become confident citizens who will continue to make us proud. 3 Open House Celebration Donuts for Dads Friday, October 30th from 1:00p.m. 2:45p.m. The admission into the Fall Festival is $1.00. Please send additional money with your child for concession. Students are encouraged, but not required, to dress-up for the festival. The following guidelines should be followed when choosing a costume: NO weapons (real or fake) NO gory masks Students are not allowed to wear their costumes to school. Additional information will be sent home before the festival.

CELEBRATING RED RIBBON WEEK Friday, October 23 rd - Red Ribbon Week Begins Pledge to Be Drug Free -Wear Red Shirts Monday, October 26 th - My Future is Bright Drug Free Professional Dress/Career Day Tuesday, October 27 th - Life is Sweet, Drug Free Neon/Bright Shirts Wednesday, October 28 th - Join the Fight Against Drugs Wear Camouflage Shirts Thursday, October 29 th - Team Up Against Drugs Favorite Team jersey Friday, October 30 th -Don t Let Drugs Mix You UP Tacky Dress Day Regular attendance in elementary school sets up a good pattern for your child s entire school career. Show him that school comes first by trying to keep days off for illnesses and family emergencies. Also, schedule routine doctor and dentist appointments for after school or over breaks. Research shows that attendance is the single most important factor in being successful adults. Please remember; no check-outs between 2:30-3:00. Thank you!
