Minutes SSC Members Present Elia Garcia, Carolina Angkahan, Amanda Pimentel, Aaron Islam, Uriel Robles, Phil Andrada, Jennifer Rivera, Jesson Nelson ELAC Members Present Amanda Pimentel SAC Members Present Elia Garcia Announcements Phil Andrada informed the members about the upcoming kindergarten registration at La Vina Middle School on May 20, Consent Agenda Approve Minutes of March 24, Motion was made by Elia Garcia and seconded by Jennifer Rivera to approve the minutes. Motion was approved with the following vote: Review/Discuss Goals and Objectives Review By Laws Phil Andrada reviewed the By Laws with the members including the changes made to membership to allow the vice-principal to be the designated alternate for the principal. Motion was made by Elia Garcia and seconded by Jennifer Rivera to approve the By-Laws. Motion was approved with the following vote: Parent Involvement Phil Andrada informed the parents that we need to continue to have parents active in the school. Elia Garcia and Carolina Angkahan volunteered to give speeches at the 8 th grade promotion ceremony.

2 Student Attendance Phil Andrada informed the members our student attendance rate is 97.5%. Compacts Phil Andrada reviewed the changes made to the Compacts that the members had discussed at a prior SSC-ELAC-SAC meeting. Motion was made by Amanda Pimentel and seconded by Jennifer Rivera to approve the Compacts. Motion was approved with the following vote: Parent Response, Advice, or Concerns None Curriculum and Instruction After school intervention programs Phil Andrada informed the members that Migrant Extended Day has ended but the P.O.W.E.R program will continue until the end of the school year. There also will be Migrant Summer School for all Migrant students who wish to attend. Parent Response, Advice, or Concerns - None Staff Reports/Comments Expenditures Uriel Robles and Phil Andrada went over the expenditures with the members. Motion was made by Arron Islam and seconded by Elia Garcia to approve the Expenditures. Motion was approved with the following vote: Approval of Categorical Personnel for Calendar Year Uriel Robles and Phil Andrada discussed the categorical personnel positions and responsibilities. Motion was made by Elia Garcia and seconded by Carolina Angkahan to approve one Site Resource Teacher, one Resource Clerk, one Activities Clerk, one Librarian Clerk, and five instructional aides. Motion was approved with the following vote: Approval of extra contract days for Resource Teacher Uriel Robles and Phil Andrada informed the members of the duties of the Site Resource Teacher that extend beyond the normal contractual time. They asked that the members approve ten additional work days but the Site Resource Teacher would only use the maximum days needed to complete the extra duties beyond his/her regular contractual time. Motion was made by Arron Islam and seconded by Carolina Angkahan to approve the extra ten work days for the Site Resource Teacher.

3 Motion was approved with the following vote: School Site Plan Phil Andrada informed the members that SSC and the Leadership Committee need to evaluate the School Site Plan. Phil Andrada informed the members that the Leadership Committee could take the responsibility of overlooking the plan and report its findings to the members for further input and suggestions, but that the members are welcome to come to the leadership meetings to help in the process. The SSC members agreed that this would be the best option and that the report of would be available to the members at a later date. Parent Response, Advice, or Concerns - none Other Parent Comments Both Uriel Robles and several members expressed their pleasure with the teachers and staff at ATMS in regards to their dedication and hard work to help the students of ATMS. Meeting Adjourned. La moción fue aprobada con la siguiente votación: Repaso/ Discusión Metas y Objetivos Repaso de Leyes Parlamentarios Phil Andrada reviso las Por Leyes con los miembros incluyendo los cambios realizados en la pertenencia a permitir que el vice- Principal sea el suplente designado para el director. La moción fue hecha por Elia García y secundada por Jennifer Rivera para aprobar las Por Leyes. La moción fue aprobada con la siguiente votación:

5 Envolvimiento de Padres - Phil Andrada informó a los padres que tenemos que seguir teniendo a los padres activos en la escuela. Elia García y Carolina Angkahan se ofrecieron como voluntarios para dar discursos en la ceremonia de promoción de 8 º grado. Asistencia Estudiantil - Phil Andrada informó a los miembros que la asistencia de estudiantes en ATMS es 97.5%. Acuerdos Phil Andrada revisó los cambios realizados a los pactos que los miembros habían discutido en una reunión anterior SSC-ELAC-SAC. La moción fue hecha por Amanda Pimentel y secundada por Jennifer Rivera para aprobar los pactos. La moción fue aprobada con la siguiente votación: Respuestas de Padres, Consejos o Preocupaciones Ninguno Currículo e Instrucción Programas de Intervención Después de Escuela - Phil Andrada informó a los miembros que Migrante Día Extendido ha terminado pero el programa de POWER continuará hasta el final del año escolar. También habrá la Escuela de Verano para estudiantes migrantes que deseen asistir. Respuesta de Padres, Consejos o Preocupaciones - Ninguno Reportes de Equipo/ Comentarios Gastos - Uriel Robles y Phil Andrada repasaron los gastos con los miembros. La moción fue hecha por Arron Islam y secundada por Elia García para aprobar los gastos. La moción fue aprobada con la siguiente votación: Aprobación de Personal Categórico para Año Calendario - Uriel Robles y Phil Andrada discutieron las posiciones y las responsabilidades del personal categórico. La moción fue hecha por Elia García y secundada por Carolina Angkahan para aprobar un maestro de recursos del sitio, una Secretaria de Recursos, una Secretaria de Actividades, una bibliotecaria y cinco asistentes de instrucción. La moción fue aprobada con la siguiente votación:

6 Aprobación de días de contrato adicionales para Maestro de Recursos Uriel Robles y Phil Andrada informaron a los miembros de las funciones del maestro de recursos del sitio que se extienden más allá del tiempo contractual normal. Pidieron que los miembros aprueben diez días de trabajo adicionales, pero el Maestro de Recursos sólo utilizaría el máximo de días necesarios para completar las tareas adicionales más allá de su tiempo contractual regular. La moción fue hecha por Aaron Islam y secundada por Carolina Angkahan para aprobar los diez días de trabajo adicionales para el maestro de recursos del sitio. La moción fue aprobada con la siguiente votación: Plan Escolar del Sitio - Phil Andrada informó a los miembros que SSC y el Comité de Liderazgo necesitan evaluar el Plan Escolar del Sitio. Phil Andrada informó a los miembros que el Comité de Liderazgo podría tomar la responsabilidad de pasar por alto el plan e informar de sus conclusiones a los miembros para obtener más información y sugerencias. También les informo que los miembros están invitados a asistir a las reuniones de liderazgo para ayudar en el proceso. Los miembros del SSC estuvieron de acuerdo en que esta sería la mejor opción y que el informe estaría a disposición de los miembros en una fecha posterior. Respuestas de Padres, Consejos o Preocupaciones Ninguno Otros Comentarios de Padres Tanto como Uriel Robles y varios miembros expresaron su satisfacción con los profesores y el personal de ATMS en cuanto a su dedicación y trabajo duro para ayudar a los estudiantes de ATMS. Clausura Clausura Requisitos legales que se abarcan en esta reunión Desarrollo de un plan escolar detallado para alumnos aprendices de inglés, se presenta a la mesa directiva en el Plan único para el rendimiento del alumno. Desarrollo de una evaluación de necesidades de la escuela Administración del Censo anual de lenguaje (Informe R30 LC). X Maneras de hacer conscientes a los padres sobre la importancia de asistir a clases regularmente.
