A le gusta Me gusta Remember, I like in Spanish is Me gusta, but you can add more emphasis to the fact you are talking about yourself by adding A mí at the beginning. Por ejemplo: I like to swim = Me gusta nadar. ---or--- A mí me gusta nadar. Le gusta When talking about what someone else likes to do, we use Le gusta. To add emphasis about exactly who you are talking about, add A él, A ella or A and the person s name at the beginning. Por ejemplo: He likes to swim = She likes to swim = Pedro likes to swim = Le gusta nadar. ---or--- A él le gusta nadar. Le gusta nadar. ---or--- A ella le gusta nadar. Le gusta nadar. ---or--- A Pedro le gusta nadar. See how the second example is more specific about who likes to swim? Now you try, using the formula A le gusta Ariana likes to play the guitar. Nicolás likes to draw. He likes to skateboard. She likes to write stories. Emma likes to play video games. He likes to watch T.V. David likes to ski and run.
