2 Welcome/ Bienvenida This Information Bulletin has been designed as a reference for divers competing in the FINA/Li-Ning Diving World Series to be held in Veracruz, Mexico. Containing competition and non-competition information, the Bulletin is a convenient reference tool prior to your stay in Veracruz, Mexico. Please take the time to read this Bulletin and take particular note of the sections most relevant to you. 5 Venue and Facilities/ Instalaciones y Servicios Venue / Sitio Joaquín Capilla Diving Pool at the Leyes de Reforma Aquatic Center of Veracruz Sport Institute, and was designed for training and competition of the best athletes from the State. It has all services needed at the competition; medical emergency services, resting areas for divers, full equipped dry land gymnasium, dressing rooms, bathrooms and cafeteria. The diving pool has two (2) 1 meter springboards, three (3) 3 meter springboards, and 5, 7 and 10 platforms. La Fosa de Clavados Joaquín Capilla se encuentra en las instalaciones del complejo acuático Leyes de Reforma del Instituto Veracruzano del Deporte, y fue diseñado para entrenamiento y competencia de los mejores deportistas del Estado. La instalación cuenta con todos los servicios necesarios para la competencia; servicios médicos de emergencia, áreas de descanso para clavadistas, gimnasio de tierra completamente equipado, vestidores, baños y cafetería. La fosa de clavados tiene 2 trampolines de 1 metro, 3 trampolines de 3 metros y plataformas de 5, 7 y 10 metros. Divers and Team Officials Seating/ Lugares para oficiales y clavadistas Those divers that are competing in the event taking place will only be allowed on poolside. An area in the bleachers will also be provided for divers and team officials. Solamente se permitirá a los clavadistas que se encuentren compitiendo estar al lado de la alberca. Se ha designado un área en las tribunas para los deportistas y oficiales de las delegaciones que no estén compitiendo.

6 Event Information Desk/ Mesa de información del evento The Event Information Desk will be located at the main entrance of the aquatic complex. This desk will be a primary information distribution point for competition information. La mesa de información general se colocará en una carpa frente a la alberca. Esta mesa será el punto de distribución de toda la información. Athlete Medical Services / Servicios Médicos para Atletas First aid will be available at the competition venue during training and competition for divers. A hospital will be designated before the delegations arrive. Lifeguards will be on-site at the competition venue to provide first aid during training and competition. A doctor will be onsite at the venue during competition times to provide medical treatment. Ice will be available at the competition venue for the treatment of injuries. Ambulance will be available on competition with a spine board. Se prestarán servicios de primeros auxilios durante los entrenamientos y la competencia. Antes de la llegada de los deportistas se designará un hospital para lesiones severas. Se contará con salvavidas durante el entrenamiento y la competencia, así como un médico durante la competencia. Habrá hielo disponible para el tratamiento de lesiones leves. Se contará con ambulancia en el sitio de competencia. Accreditation Desk / Mesa de Acreditación All accreditations are intended to be delivered at the airport when the team arrives. However this only will be possible if we have the complete information and photo of all members of the delegation sent to us at our web page link: BEFORE MARCH 19, 2010 In this link you will find the final registration forms for team, divers, officials and judges, in which you can upload delegation member s pictures, flag picture and your official anthem for award ceremonies. Please do it on time so we can have everybody accredited before arrival. Nevertheless if anything happens we will have an accreditation desk at the athlete s hotel on day s prior competition. 7 En este link ustedes encontrarán los formatos de registro finales tanto para el equipo, los deportistas, los oficiales y los jueces, y en ellos podrá cargar (upload) las fotografías de los participantes, un dibujo de su bandera y el archivo de su himno nacional para las ceremonias de premiación. Por favor háganlo a tiempo de tal forma que tengamos a todos acreditados antes de que lleguen. Sin embargo, si por alguna situación sucediera, tendremos una mesa de registro en el hotel de los atletas los días antes de la competencia. VISA Assistance/ Asistencia para visas. Participants requiring Mexican Visa should send the Mexican Swimming Federation before March 5o, 2010 (or at least 30 days before departure from the NF country of origin) by Letter from the NF signed by the President containing the names, date and place of birth of the members of the Delegation. Copy of all pages of a valid passport (valid at least 6 month after the event) If an invitation letter is needed please request it in the same . 9 According to FINA rules, each host country (Great Britain, China & Mexico) shall provide full board accommodation (3 meals per day of adequate quantity and quality) for all qualified divers (minimum of 60) and 1 team leader/coach for a minimum of 5 days and 5 nights. De acuerdo a la reglamentación FINA cada país sede proveerá de hospedaje y alimentación (tres alimentos por día con adecuada cantidad y calidad), para todos los clavadistas calificados (mínimo 60 clavadistas) y un jefe de equipo o entrenador por cinco días y cinco noches. The official accommodation period will be as follows/ el período oficial de hospedaje será: Arrival/Llegada: hrs Tuesday/Martes 13 th April/Abril Departure/Salida: hrs Sunday/Domingo 18 th April/Abril Please note divers from the same federation who are of the same gender will be put into twin rooms in case any diver is in a single room a difference will be charged. Reservations for additional nights and persons accommodation can be made through the Mexican Swimming Federation, but you will be charged for these nights. Por favor tomen nota de que los deportistas del mismo género serán hospedados en cuarto doble y en caso de que algún deportista quede en cuarto sencillo le será cargada la diferencia correspondiente al cuarto doble. Room Rate (full board and lodging)/ Costo de Hospedaje (tres alimentos) Single: USD 150 per person per day Double: USD 100 per person per day Additional Reservations have to be made to/ Reservaciones adicionales pueden realizarse en: webmaster@fmn.org.mx before/ antes de March/Marzo 30 th, Judges / Jueces There will be seven (7) Judges at each DWS Event. FINA shall appoint six (6) of the Judges and the Host Federation shall nominate one (1) Judge, whose appointment shall be subject to FINA s approval. The Individual Events will be scored in accordance with FINA Diving Rule D7.5 and D7.7.In synchronised diving there shall be seven (7) judges two (2) execution judges and five (5) synchronisation judges. The secretaries shall accept the execution awards and shall cancel the highest and lowest synchronisation awards and shall then calculate the score in accordance with FINA Diving Rule D7.7.

10 Habrá siete (7) Jueces de los cuales FINA designará a seis (6) y la Federación sede uno (1) sujeto a la aprobación de la FINA. En los eventos individuales de calificará de acuerdo a con las Reglas de calvados de FINA D7.5 y D7.7. En los eventos de calvados sincronizados habrá siete (7) jueces dos (2) de ejecución y cinco (5) de sincronización. Los secretarios aceptarán los ejecución y eliminarán las calificaciones mayor y menor de sincronización y calcularán la calificación de acuerdo a la Regla de Clavados FINA D7.7. Prize Money at Veracruz / Premios en Veracruz 1st place/ lugar: USD $ 5,000 2nd place/ lugar : USD $ 4,000 3rd place/ lugar: USD $ 3,000 Total per event/total USD $ 12,000 8 Events/Eventos Total USD $ 96,000 Registration / Registro Starting on Wednesday February 10, 2010 all divers invited by FINA will be able to register directly in the event s link: Final registration date will be March 19, 2010, la fecha final de registro será el día 19 de Marzo. Once the registration has been done succesfully a confirmation will be received. Una vez que el registro se ha efectuado exitosamente se recibirá un de confirmación. Transportation / Transportación The team transport service from the airport will only operate to and from the above hotels. A bus shuttle service every 30 minutes will operate from the athlete s hotel to the pool and back. Judges will have a dedicated transportation.
