2 Future Tense Describes actions that will take place Use the infinitive as the stem, then put on the appropriate ending These are the endings for ALL verbs with the following 12 exceptions: 1. Infinitive stem remains the same, but the final vowel of its ending is dropped. Caber- to fit, have enough room yo cabré Haber- to have yo habré Poder- to be able to yo podré Querer- to want yo querré Saber- to know how yo sabré 2. Infinitive stem remains the same, but the final vowel of its ending is dropped and replace with the letter d. Poner- to put, place yo pondré Salir- to leave yo saldré Tener- to have, hold yo tendré Valer- to be worth yo valdré Venir- to come yo vendré 3. Entirely different stem is used Decir- to say, tell yo diré Hacer- to do, make yo haré

(jugar) Él jugará en la calle con sus amigos. They will sit in the chair together. (sentar) Ellos se sentarán en la silla juntos. We will help you find your uncle a new shirt. (ayudar) Le ayudaremos a encontrar su tío una nueva camisa. You will listen to the radio in the evening. (escuchar) Escucharás a la radio por la noche.
