Contamos con un programa de prevención de la violencia, consumo del tabaco, y las drogas. Se dan programas de capacitación para apoyar a los estudiantes y a los padres de familia. Se ofrece capacitación profesional para el manejo de conflictos, educación sexual y situaciones de crisis. Se implementa un contrato sobre el comportamiento en cada salón de clases. Se pone en práctica un programa de ayuda educativa adicional (intervención), que consiste en un grupo compuesto por la directora, el asesor de apoyo al aprendizaje, el especialista de lectura y escritura, el coordinador de padres de familia y la enfermera, que se le conoce como Grupo de Apoyo los Estudiantes (CST). El Coordinador para las Reformas Educativas (IRF), el Especialista de Recursos y los asistentes de los profesores, promocionan servicios adicionales. Programas Importantes El programa de lectura para todos los grados Houghton Mifflin que se imparte por medio de las estrategias de la Lectura es Primero El Programa Harcourt Brace- de matemáticas, ciencias y estudios sociales. Además, se imparten talleres de capacitación, y los padres de familia participan en el salón de clases, en las actividades y funciones escolares. Descripción de la Escuela La escuela fue construida en 19 en roca sólida, la escuela Glen Park mantiene su reputación, por ser una escuela limpia con un medio ambiente agradable para el aprendizaje. La población estudiantil diversa, proviene de diferentes vecindarios, lo que hace que tengamos diferentes culturas juntas y en armonía. Todos nuestros profesores tienen credenciales para enseñar, colaboran y comparten sus experiencias profesionales con colegas de la escuela y del distrito.
