OBJETIVO GENERAL / GENERAL OBJECTIVE Prepare the students for writing all types of commercial correspondence with the appropriate technical vocabulary and business terminology as well as the proper Spanish translation. 4. OBJETIVOS ESPECÍFICOS: SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES 1. Use technical business vocabulary properly. 1

Translation of letters and documents 11 Review for Final exam 6. METODOLOGÍA / METHODOLOGY The teacher will give a brief explanation of the different types of letters and its parts. Students will analyze the examples and do some reading before class. Exercises in the copies will be checked in class. The exercises assigned for homework as well as translations will be corrected. The writing activities will be assigned for homework. Translation activities will be done orally and written. Translation techniques and examples will be given at the beginning of the semester. If a student misses a class, he or she will not be justified. Depending on the case, the student can present late work or an exam. In the course not only has the student to translate but also learn how to write any kind of letter correctly. RECURSOS/ RESOURCES: overhead projector, transparencies, photocopies, Líderes magazine and any other business magazine, and Internet addresses for Translation. 7. EVALUACIÓN / EVALUATION Students are requested to have a portfolio in which they will have their papers and assignments. Homework will be assigned and checked weekly. During the first part of the semester, emphasis will be put in writing letters as well as translating them correctly.
