Therefore, I will support the school in its efforts by doing the following: Ensure my child will arrive to school on time each day. Ensure my child s regular attendance for the entire school day. Support the school in its efforts to maintain proper discipline. Establish a time for homework, and monitor and review it regularly. Encourage my child s efforts and be available for questions. Commit to literacy by reading to or with my child every day. Ensure my child follows the mandatory dress code policy. Attend report card conferences, scheduled student-led conferences and grade level/school academic nights. Provide current emergency information, including any changes in address and phone numbers. Signature Student Agreement It is important that I work to the best of my ability. Therefore, I shall strive to do the following: Attend school every day and be on time. Read at least 30 minutes every day outside of school time. Complete and return all homework assignments on due dates. Follow the dress code policy. Follow the school and classroom rules at all times. Establish academic goals and monitor my progress in a data folder. Signature Teacher Agreement It is important that students achieve. Therefore, I shall strive to do the following: Provide necessary information to parents so they can assist their child s learning at home. Encourage students and parents by providing information about student progress. Plan meaningful, rigorous and engaging learning opportunities for students that follow the Sunshine State/Common Core State Standards for curriculum. Assist students in establishing and monitoring individual learning goals. Provide appropriate and meaningful homework assignments for students. Assess frequently for student achievement and provide immediate feedback to students. Be prompt in entering student assignments on Parentlink. Communicate with parents in a variety of meaningful ways that provides information that benefits the educational, welfare and social growth of the child. Provide teachers with the tools necessary to ensure student academic achievement. Establish avenues of communication between teachers, parents and students. 3 FAMILY INVOLVEMENT PLAN We, at Spring Creek Elementary School, believe that when families are involved in their child s education, schools work better and students learn more. By working together, exchanging information, and sharing decision-making, everyone can contribute to children s learning. Our school will welcome families, offer flexible meeting times, provide transportation and childcare as needed, reach out to families before problems arise, offer challenging curriculum, create a safe and drug-free learning environment, organize tutoring and other opportunities to increase student achievement, organize mentor programs, and support families to be included in the school decisionmaking process. Our families will agree to have their children attend school regularly and be on time. Parents will monitor their children s homework completion, take the time to talk with and listen to their children, become acquainted with teachers, administrators and other school staff, read with younger children and share a good book, review the contents of their children s weekly brown envelope (assignments, newsletter), volunteer in school when possible, participate in the school decision-making process, and always support the importance of education. We will involve families by: working together to make decisions. Por lo cual, le ayudaré haciendo lo siguiente: Asegurando su asistencia regular durante todo el día escolar. Apoyando a la escuela en sus esfuerzos para mantener la disciplina apropiada. Estableciendo una hora para tarea y repaso regularmente. Alentando los esfuerzos de mi niño/a y estar disponible para preguntas. Comprometerme a leerle o que me lea por lo menos cuatro veces a la semana. Ser voluntario al menos 4 horas al año en Spring Creek Elementary. Asegurarme que mi niño/a siga el código de vestuario obligatorio. Asistiendo a las conferencias sugeridas en los reportes, a la conferencia dirigida por el estudiante y a las noches académicas de nivel de grado y de la escuela. Planearé instrucción apropiada, rigurosa y motivadora para que los estudiantes sigan el currículo del las Normas del Estado. Asistiré a los estudiantes y observaré sus logros académicos individuales. Proveeré tareas apropiadas y significativas para los estudiantes. Examinaré frecuentemente para el logro de los estudiantes y les daré opinión inmediata. Seré rápido/a entregando las calificaciones de mis estudiantes en Parentlink. Me comunicaré con los padres en formas significativas para proveer información que beneficie el crecimiento educativo y social de los estudiantes. 6 PLAN DE ENVOLVIMIENTO FAMILIAR Nosotros, en la escuela Elemental de Spring Creek, creemos que cuando las familias se involucran en la educación de sus hijos, las escuelas trabajan mejor y los estudiantes aprenden mas. Trabajando juntos intercambiaremos información, y compartiremos la toma de decisiones, todos podemos contribuir al aprendizaje de los niños. Nuestra escuela dará la bienvenida a las familias, ofreceremos horario de reuniones flexible, proveeremos transporte y cuidado de niños si es necesario, ayudaremos a las familias antes que los problemas se agranden, ofrecemos currículos mas avanzados, crearemos un ambiente de aprendizaje libre de drogas, tutoría y otras oportunidades para aumentar el logro del estudiante, organizaremos programas mentores, y apoyaremos a las familias incluyéndolas en la toma de decisiones. Nuestras familias estarán de acuerdo que sus niños atenderán a la escuela regularmente y llegaran a tiempo a la escuela. Los padres supervisaran la terminación de las tareas, tomaran tiempo para hablar con y escuchar a sus niños, familiarizarse con las maestras, administradores y el otro personal de la escuela, leerán con niños pequeños y compartirán un buen libro, revisaran el contenido del sobre café de sus niños semanalmente (asignaciones, boletín de noticias), ayudaran en la escuela cuando sea posible, participaran en el procedimiento de toma de decisión de la escuela, y siempre apoyarán la importancia de la educación.
