On the other side costs of the flight ticket increased in the last months and the connection in Central America is incredible difficult. For going from Guatemala to Santo Domingo we must do at least one stop in Panama. ISTH will pay 3 air ticket and 4 Hotel expenses. Dr. Bosch s flight ticket will be support through other funds There is a remaining of more than Dollars from the activities in 2008 and 2009 that could be applied to the Budget of present Courses. As mentioned for previous Courses, although according to ISTH rules, for flights over five hours, business class tickets will be offered to Faculties, the cost is too expensive and impossible to be cover with current budget. Remarks. As Dr. Goico Morales already made a Course in 2008 supported by the Educational Committee of the ISTH, surely the ISTH have most of the general data in file. Local Coordinators of this Course in Santo Domingo are Dr. Rosa Nieves and Liliana Khouri. Dr. Rosa Nieves, Pediatric hematologist, is Co-director of the Pediatric Hospital Dr. Robert Reid Cabral in Santo Domingo where the Wet-Dry lab will take place. The invited faculties will stay in the Santo Domingo Hotel where the Conferences will take place and is located in front of the Hospital. Only 30 bio-analists will be accepted for the Lab part. They expect having 120 persons in the Conferences. Data on Guatemala. Local organizers is Dr. Leticia Maselli. The population of GUATEMALA is 11 millons inhabitants, The Capital Guatemala and surroundings have 4 millons.

4 Number of physicians in Guatemala are 14,000 and 70% are located in the Capital and surroundings. Of the Schools of Medicine (total was not indicated by the local organizer) 40% are public and 60% private. Dry-Wet lab is planned for Clinical biochemists and Bioanalists. Promotion of the Course will be made among hematologists, cardiologists, internists, phlebologists, neurologists, general and vascular surgeons, biochemists (PhD, Bio-analysts). As in previous Courses we encourage having last year s physicians and related students among the audience. The size of the audience is calculated (limited to) of 25 persons for the Dry- Wet Lab and 150 for the Educational Course. The room in the venue have all technical implements for the Course necessities.
