LIÓN 8: URT PRT LOS OMPLMNTOS IRTOS
TINK PIR --SR 1. On your own brainstorm what you already know about direct objects 2. With your neighbor discuss what you brainstormed 3. Share with the class what you and your partner thought of
Los objetos directos What is a direct object? The direct object answers the questions Who? or What? in the sentence: Yo pedí el bistec en el restaurante. What did I order? steak!!! Yo desayuno el pan tostado durante la semana. l chef prepara una sopa de pollo esta noche. l camarero sirvió las ensaladas primero.
Los objetos directos In Spanish, we can take out the direct object of a sentence and replace it with a IRT OJT PRONOUN so that we re not so repetitive. The direct object pronouns are the equivalent of the nglish words "M", "YOU", IT, "IM", "R", "US" and "TM". irect Object Pronouns me me nos us te you os you (pl., fam.) lo la it/him/you (formal) it/her/you (formal) los las them/you (pl., form.) them/you (pl., form.) Quién preparó los tacos? Who prepared the tacos? Marta LOS preparó. Marta prepared TM. Ya preparaste las empanadas? id you already prepare the empanadas? Sí, yo LS preparé esta tarde. Yes, I prepared TM this afternoon.
Identify the direct object in each sentence. Then identify the pronoun (M, T, LO, L, NOS, OS, LOS, LS) you would use to replace that noun. 1. l señor dio los menús a los clientes. 2. armen tomó un café esta mañana. 3. La camarera sirvió las bebidas a los clientes. 4. La señora dio una propina al botones.
Los objetos directos The pronouns are placed OR the conjugated verb!!! Yo preparé las tapas. Yo preparé las. Yo las preparé.
Now look at these sentences again and rewrite each one using the direct object pronoun your already provided. 1. l señor dio los menús a los clientes. LOS 2. armen tomó un café esta mañana. LO 3. La camarera sirvió las bebidas a los clientes. LS 4. La señora dio una propina al botones. L

LIÓN 8: URT PRT (ONT)
RPSMOS! The direct object tells us with respect to the verb Yo preparé el pastel esta mañana. We can take out the direct object noun and replace it with a pronoun to avoid unnecessary repetition. The IRT OJT PRONOUNS are me me nos us te you os you (pl., fam.) lo la it/him/you (formal) it/her/you (formal) los las them/you (pl., form.) them/you (pl., form.) Yo preparé el pastel esta mañana. Yo LO preparé esta mañana.
Los objetos indirectos In addition to direct objects, we also have INIRT OJTS. Te acuerdas? The indirect object tells us to whom? for whom? from whom? avid is the indirect object! La camarera sirvió los espaguetis a avid. To whom did the waitress serve the spaghetti?
Los objetos indirectos Indirect objects refer to people and are often preceded by the preposition "". l señor dejó una propina a la camarera en el mesón (counter). Maya y Miguel vendieron la limonada a Pablo y a mí en el parque. l camarero recomendó la sopa de frijoles a los clientes en el restaurante.
Los objetos indirectos Just like with direct objects, we can take out the indirect object of the sentence and replace it with an INIRT OJT PRONOUN. Indirect Object Pronouns me me nos us te you os you (pl., fam.) le him/her you (formal) les them you (pl., form.) OJO! The 3rd person indirect object pronouns (le, les) are often used even when the indirect object is stated as a noun. Yo le traje un menú a Silvia.
