The people of Africa are joyous and faith-filled, but they also often face challenges due to poverty, the high incidence of disease, food shortages and migration. This collection is an opportunity to stand with the people of Africa and support pastoral projects that are so needed on this continent. If you have great wealth, give alms out your abundance; if you have but little, do not be afraid to give alms even of that little. Tobit 4:8 This scripture holds a message that we don t often want to hear, but needs to be said at times. All too often, we allow others to take the lead, or volunteer, or serve in the church, or help with the projects while we sit back and enjoy the benefits. We feel justified because we don t have enough time, or we don t know enough about how to do something, or we don t have enough money to do what is being asked of us. Let us remember we all have something to offer. It is up to us to use what God has given us in large and small measures. As ordinary time resumes, let s make an effort to make these EX- TRAORDINARY times by sacrificing and giving in proportion to what we own. As of May 2018, we have $3,015,000 of the $ 6,100,000 needed thanks to the faithful who have given. We need your prayers, pledges and donations to the GIFT Campaign as we continue Phase 2 of our building renovations. Our goal is to reach $4,000,000 by the feast of Holy Cross. Please do what you can!. Pledges can be made online at by following the link on our website to the GIFT campaign. Donations can be placed in the GIFT campaign envelopes in the pews and placed in the collections basket or GIFT box in the back of the church. Give In Faith Today to share. Thank you. It's Father's Day weekend so get Dad or yourself a special treat. Parishioners who like to bake can donate their baked goods for this event. Just bring them to the cafeteria before Mass. The profits will benefit the Ladies of Holy Cross and the GIFT Campaign.
