3 7000 Morning Star Dr., The Colony, TX * Office: * Fax : * Abstinence from meat (beast or fowl) is to be observed by all Catholics age 14 and older on all Fridays of Lent. This obligation prohibits the eating of meat, but not eggs, milk products, or condiments of any kind, even though made from animal fat. Fasting means limiting oneself to one full meal on a given fast day. Catholics who are 18 years and older, until they celebrate their 60 Birthday, are obligated to fast on Good Friday. On fast days, two additional smaller meals are permitted if necessary to maintain strength. However, the two smaller meals together may not be equal to one full meal. More over, eating solid foods between meals on a fast day is not permitted, as a tangible sign of our need and desire to do penance for the cause of peace. Esta obligación prohíbe comer carne, pero no pescado o cualquier otro condimento que contenga grasa animal. El Ayuno significa dejar de comer una comida completa. Los Católicos de 18 a 60 años de edad están obligados a ayunar, el Viernes Santo. En los días de ayuno se permite, si es necesario, tener dos comidas pequeñas para mantener la fuerza. Sin embargo las dos pequeñas comidas juntas no deben de equivaler a una comida completa. Además, durante el ayuno, no se permite comer comidas solidas entre cada comida, Es un visible signo de NUESTRA NESECI- DAD DE PENITENCIA, por la PAZ MUNDIAL. Lent is a time of renewal. We renew our lives by coming closer to the Lord. In order to come closer to the Lord, we need to repent of our sinfulness, and approach the Lord to wash them away. Let us make use of the God-given opportunity to repent and renew our lives by participating in the Lenten Reconciliation Service on Thursday, March 8 at 7 P.M. in the Church. There will be several priests assisting at the Lenten Reconciliation Service. La Cuaresma es tiempo de renovación. Nosotros renovamos nuestras vidas acerándonos al Señor. Para poder acercarnos al Señor, necesitamos arrepentirnos de nuestros pecados, y pedirle que nos limpie de ellos. Luke 2:14 The Lord has blessed us with another year and by His grace, Phase I was completed in time for the front of our church to be magnificent for the new liturgical year and the Christmas season! As of December 2017, we have raised $2,667,133 in pledges and donations to the GIFT campaign; and with our Diocesan savings of $216, we have a total of $2,883,607 which enables us to begin Phase 2. Thanks be to God and to you who have prayed, pledged, donated and worked to make this possible. It is with renewed energy that we must recommit ourselves to raising the remaining 52% of the $6,100,000 needed to fully complete our renovations. Good and faithful servants, now is a good time to provide financial support if you have not done so already. Our goal is to raise $50,000 BEFORE LENT. PLEASE HELP! Pledges can be made online at or follow the links on our website to the GIFT Campaign. Este programa de cinco partes, lleva a los participantes por un recorrido emocionante a través de la Liturgia. Explora las raíces bíblicas de las palabras y los gestos que usamos en la Misa y explica su profundo significado. Y Entienda, tal vez por primera vez, por que decimos lo que decimos, y hacemos lo que hacemos. Cada semana en la Misa. A Biblical Journey Into The Mass taught by Father Joseph and Harry Agens. Come learn more about the Mass and traditions that bind us together at every Mass. This four session seminar will start Wednesday, Feb. 7,21,28,and march 7, 9:30 am. And 6:30 pm. The book fee of $ includes a study guide and an in-depth mass explanation book.
