Have you wanted to touch the lives of the children of the Church? Now is your time! The religious education program is looking for catechists to share their faith with the children of our parish. Classes are offered Tuesday from 6:15-7:15 p.m. and Wednesday from 4:30-5:30 p.m. for grades kindergarten through fifth (5th) grade. These sessions are a time to learn more about the Catholic Church, what we believe and about the steps to officially joining the Catholic Church. 4 HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH August 20, 2017 TWENTIETH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME Agosto 20, 2017 As a body is one though it has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though many, are one body, so also Christ. 1 Cor 12. This verse captures our parish. Each family is a vital part to our success. Including events, about 40%, have made a financial commitment to the future of Holy Cross by pledging $2,497,200 While about 870 families have not yet pledged to the GIFT campaign, you can see our construction progress and our commitment to expand. A body cannot function properly, nor thrive, when over 50% of its parts are not fully engaged. We need everyone s love, prayers, support and financial commitment to continue moving forward. It is up to all of us, especially those who have not pledged to raise the remaining construction costs of over $5,000,000! Pledges can be made online at or follow the links on our website to the GIFT Campaign. Donations can also be made to the GIFT Campaign in the envelopes in the pews, which can be placed in the collection basket. Give In Faith Today. Cost is $20 and will include a fun night of bunco, dinner and prizes. Bunco is an easy dice game that requires no skill! We will teach you to play if you don t know how. It s also a great way to meet other women of the parish and support our building fund. We are limited to 40 players so please RSVP to Kim at to serve your spot. Ladies of Holy Cross are having their next Lunch & Learn on Saturday, August 26th from 10 AM through 2 PM in the church cafeteria. They will be making rosaries. All the ladies from our parish who would like to attend, are welcome! The profits from this sale will be donated to the Building Fund. Parishioners who like to bake may donate their baked goods for this event. Just bring them to the cafeteria before the Mass you attend. Please join in with your baked contribution to make the bake sale a success.
