(Parents, employees and administration must be involved.) The dress code must include: detailed description of clothing, provision for students' religious expression, accommodation of students' disabilities, medical conditions, financial assistance for those unable to afford and written / > gender neutral. The School Council develops a survey, includes or attaches all elements of the dress code. Develop distribution plan. (Must provide a survey to 100% of parents/guardians.) Must receive a vote from a majority of each student's parent/guardian. (50% or more) ^/-Xl/tr ~ *"v*f ^-^ / or*^e- /&C& Tally the vote and publicize the outcome. (Must have an 80% positive response from returned surveys.) With a change in the School Uniform/Standardized Dress Code, an agenda item must be completed and sent to District administration for review, approval and submission to the Governing Board for consideration. Attachments must Include: o This form with all the dates entered. o Proposed School Uniform/Standardized Dress Code. Tally of surveys. o Copies of surveys sent to the parents/guardians. Proposed Start Date for implementation of new dress code. Must allow at least two months after notice to parents/guardians before implementing the new dress code. 3 Uniform Student Dress Code Students are required to wear uniforms to school because we recognize that there is a relationship between dress and such things as school pride, self-esteem, and general welfare of the students and the accomplishment of curriculum goals and educational objectives. School uniforms are also less expensive then regular schoolclothes. Students will be allowed to wear their "spirit shirt" everyday ofthe week These shirts are available starting in March and can be purchased through our school office. Please note that the bottom part ofthe uniform still must be worn with the spirit shirt ROBERTS/NAYLORUNIFORM POLICY Below is the Uniform Dress Code. Pleaseread and sign the form below. Boys and Girls White, gray, green and navy blue or any shade ofblue polo shirts or collared shirts or collared shirts with long or short sleeves and buttons. No blue on blue (blue pants with same shade ofblue shirts) Collared shirts must be visible at all times Boys Khaki or navy blue pants, shorts for boys (uniform style) (no basketball shorts or warm up suits or denim jeans) Girls Navy blue or Khaki pants, shorts, skorts, jumpers, capris for girls (uniform style) (no basketball shorts, leggings, jeggings warmup suits or denim jeans) loosefitting pants only *Shorts, skirts mustbe 3 inches below the handswhen standing. No graphics or logos on the shirt Closed toed shoes (with socks) such as tennis shoes or flat heeled shoes must be worn by boys and girls. NO RED TENNIS SHOES, RED SHOES, RED SHOE LACES or SANDALS ALLOWED. Jackets, sweaters, sweatshirts, rain coats, etc. are to be selected by the parents preferably the school colors but not mandatory. Red headwear should not be worn. * Closed toed shoes must be worn at all times No Gang related clothing is allowed oncampus Haircolor may not be a distraction s Caps/hats may only beworn outside and only used as protection from the sun. Caps/hats may not be a distraction. S Students may not wear any clothing and/or accessories in school buildings or on school grounds that are: o Hazardous, damaging, orpresenting danger to school property orpersons including but not limited to: extended belts (belts should fit proper length), choke chains, dog collars, wallet chains or any type of spiked apparel or jewelry; o Depicting and/or promoting and/or endorsing illegal or violent activities, illegal o o drugs, tobacco or alcohol; Vulgar, obscene, indecent, libelous, ordegrading ofothers on the basis ofrace, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, gender, sexual orientation ordisability; and/or Distracting so as to interfere with the teaching or learning process such as extremely revealing garments including but not limited to short shorts, short skirts, short dresses (must cover buttocks while standing and sitting^, tube tops,net tops, swimsuits, strapless tops, spaghetti strap tops, halter tops, muscle shirts, basketball shirts without an accompanying T-shirt, no tights orleggings (Jeggings) ortight fitting pants to be worn as pants, garments with plunging necklines, transparent and see through garments, (midsections must be covered and undergarments shall be completely covered with outer clothing). Ninos y Ninas - Camisa o blusa blanca, gris, verde o azul marino tipo polo o camisa o blusa de mangacortao larga y con botones. No azul con azul (pantaldn azul con camisa del isnismo color azul) Ninos - Pantalones y shorts azul marino o beige (estilo del uniforme) (no pantalones de gimnasiao de denim) Ninas - Pantalones, shorts, falda pantalon,jumpers, pantaloncapri azul marino o beige, estilo de uniforme (no pantalones de gimnasia, pantalones de denim, jeggings o mallas) Solamente pantalones sueltos *Los shorts o faldas no pueden estar arriba de los dedos de las manos cuando las nifias estan paradas y con sus manos a los lados de su cuerpo. Las camisas no pueden tener otros dibujos o simbolos. Zapatos cerrados (con calcetines) como tenis o zapatos sin tac6n deben ser usados porninos. NO SE ACEPTAN ZAPATOS Y CINTAS ROJAS, SANDALIAS O HUARACHES. Chaquetas, sueteres, rompe vientos, etc. seran seleccionado por los padres de preferencia con los colores de la escuela pero no es obligatorio. NO CHAQUETAS ROJAS Y HOODIES (capucha del abrigo) Dentro la escuela, Si tienen preguntas, por favor de llamar a Clara Reyes, larepresentante de la comunidad aqui en la escuela Roberts/Naylor K-8. Guia de Vestimento Escolar del Distrito *Vestimenta de la cabeza no es permitida dentro del los edificios con excepci6n de expresiones religiosas o situaciones medicas. Por favor evite el rojo. Los alumnos tienen que usar zapatos cerrado todo el tiempo. *Queda prohibido el uso de ropa con afiliaciones a pandillas. *E1 color del pelo en la primaria y secundaria no debe de ser una distracci6n a la ensenanza academica. *Se les permite a los alumnos que se protejan del sol con una gorra o cachucha solo como protection al sol. Estan no puede ser motivo de distraction. "'Los estudiantes no puede usar ropa o accesorios en el edificio o aereas escolares que: *Pongan en peligro a estudiantes o personas a su alrededor incluyendo: cintos (deben de ser de la medida correcta), cadenas, cadenas con carteras, o cualquier otro accesorio o joyas.

6 Cualquier ropa que promueva o identifique o aliente el uso ilegal de actividades violentas, drogas ilegales, tabaco, o alcohol. *Gestos vulgares, obscenos, indecentes, o que degraden a otros por su raza, color, religi6n, ancestros, nacionalidad, orientation sexual, deseabilidad. *Distracciones que interfieran con proceso de aprendizaje o ensefianza que demuestren demasiado incluyendo shorts cortitos, faldas y vestidos demasiado cortos(estos deben de cubrir las sentaderas al sentarse), camisetas de "tubito," camisas de red, trajes de bafto, blusas sin mecate, camisetas sin manga, camisetas de basquetbol sin otra camiseta abajo, "leggins," mayas, camisetas que ensenen demasiado escote, prendas transparentes (toda blusa/camisa debe de cubrir completamente el estomago.
