( Jason es más activo que Kevin en la clase. ) This cellphone is cheap, but that one is cheaper. ( Este móvil es barato, pero el otro es más barato. ) Blood is thicker than water. 3 Grammar focus (Enfoque Gramatical) Utiliza adjective/adverb + er (adjetivo/adverbio + er) o more + adjective/adverb (más + adjetivo/adverbio) para describir una cosa que es mejor que otra. A esto se le llama comparativos. E.g.)You are taller than Tom. (Eres más alto que Tom) You are more active than Tom. (Eres más activo que Tom) Utiliza less + adjective/adverb (menos +adjectivo/adverbio) para describir una cosa que es peor que otra. E.g.)You are less tall than Tom. (Eres menos alto que Tom) You are less active than Tom. (Eres menos activo que Tom) Algunos adjetivos/adverbios cambian de manera irregular. Por ejemplo, good (bueno) cambia a better (mejor), y bad (malo) cambia a worse (peor). E.g.)Your score is better than Tom s. (Tus notas son mejores que las de Tom) Tom s score is worse than yours. (Tus notas son peores que las de Tom) 3
