3 CURRICULUM This popular program is back -- with new content! The 2013 bi-annual Advanced HR Leadership Seminar features an all new and updated curriculum that will look at current, relevant HR leadership topics in the context of setting strategic priorities that align with your bank's strategic direction. This seminar will use a highly interactive learning model - - including a new integrated case study, group discussion and engaging instructors -- to reinforce learning and allow you to take back and implement ideas immediately at your organization. The goal of the program is that at the end of the seminar every participant will have as a valuable take-away a solid start, re-start, update or affirmation of their own HR Strategic Plan, and an understanding of the process that will allow them to return to their banks ready to finalize their plan and implement it effectively. Those who have attended this prestigious program previously are encouraged to return to take advantage of the new curriculum. Topics of discussion will include: Developing and Updating Your HR Strategic Plan -- this is the key theme of the program and will be emphasized throughout. What are the current HR priorities? And how do they mesh with the industry and align with the bank's strategy? The need for a well developed plan that is frequently updated to remain relevant, and that is implemented successfully, will be the primary focus of the seminar. An integrated case study and the examples it provides will guide the discussion. Talent Management and Succession -- using examples and best practices from banks who are successful in this area, the focus will be on helping HR leaders identify top talent and prepare them for leadership roles during a time when many senior bankers are retiring or approaching retirement. Specific tools will be provided. Health Care Reform -- a critical look at changes in health care law and the impact of new regulations on HR leaders. We'll take a look at the many questions that remain about the way these changes will affect organizations and employees alike. The Multi-Generational Workforce -- with people working later in life, there has never before been such a wide age span in the workforce. This portion of the curriculum will look at the opportunities and challenges this presents to HR and banking leaders with case study examples and best practices Page 3 of 6

4 Developing the Next Generation of Leadership -- a look at how HR leaders can develop the next generation into effective banking leaders again, the integrated case study will be used to provide relevant, real-world examples of ways this is being done effectively. Social Media and Its Impact on HR -- a look at the complex issues raised by the ubiquitous use of social media and the ways these issues impact HR leadership from the perspective of privacy, employment law, profitability, productivity, etc. SCHEDULE All classes are held at the Fluno Executive Education Center on the beautiful lakeside University of Wisconsin-Madison campus. Students stay in single rooms at the Fluno Center or at the Doubletree by Hilton, both executive style hotels. Classes start at 8:30 a.m. and conclude most afternoons at 4:10 p.m. with 20-minute breaks between classes in the morning and in the afternoon and an hour and 20 minutes for lunch. Registration is at the Fluno Center from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on the Sunday that you arrive. There is an orientation and opening class on Sunday afternoon starting at 3:30 p.m. with a Welcome Reception and Dinner that evening. The program ends by 11:00 a.m. on Friday. 5 ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS This program is unique in that it is designed specifically for HR professionals in the financial services industry. Admission requirements are designed to select those applicants who are best prepared by experience and prior education to benefit from this Advanced Human Resource Management Seminar. Each applicant must qualify under one of the following criteria: Graduate of the GSB Human Resource Management School Graduate of a graduate banking school program or a state association sponsored school of banking program Graduate of the former ABA National or Graduate School of Human Resource Management Extensive experience in a senior management position with financial as well as HR responsibilities FEES Fees & Accommodations Attendees of the Advanced Human Resource Leadership Seminar will reside at the Hilton Doubletree Hotel, which is across the street from the Fluno Center for Executive Education, where classes will be held. 6 Admission Requirements Admission to the Advanced HR Seminar is by application only. Those seeking admission should apply online at gsb.org/hra_reg.htm Admission requirements are designed to select those applicants who are prepared by experience and prior education to derive the greatest benefit from this advanced management program. Each applicant must qualify under one of the following criteria: Employees of FDIC-insured banks or savings institutions. State and federal financial institution regulatory officials and directors of banks or savings institutions with educational background and experience comparable to that required of bank officers.. Professionals from firms providing services to banks and savings institutions who have the necessary educational and experience backgrounds will be considered for admission on a case by case basis and will be dependent on available space. International bankers are welcome and will be considered for admission based on education and experience. As a matter of policy, the Graduate School of Banking does not discriminate among applicants and participants on the basis of race, religion, sex, national origin, color, handicap, orientation or marital status.
