Students are not permitted to remain in areas around the school after they have completed their exams. 2 I. ENGLISH LANGUAGE: ENGLISH LANGUAGE 10EFL ERICA In preparation for the 2nd term examination students should study all class notes, journals and discussions. They should also review the 2014 Coursebook, Workbook and Grammar material we have studied so far. This year's exam will have the following format: Paper 2 Reading Passages (Extended) Question 1 : Extended response : Text type : letter /interview/ magazine article/ newspaper report. This question is in response to passage A. Use your own words. Address each of the three bullet points. Write about 250 to 350 words. Up to 15 marks are available for the content of your answer, and up to 5 marks for the quality of your writing. Question 2 : Language Question: Re-read the descriptions of the given passage. Select four powerful words or phrases from each paragraph. Your choices should include imagery. Explain how each word or phrase is used effectively in the context. Write about 200 to 300 words. Up to 10 marks are available for the content of your answer. Question 3 : Summary Question : This question is in response to passage B. Write your content points in note form and then write the summary as continuous writing. Your summary should include all 15 of your points and must be 200 to 250 words. Up to 5 marks are available for the quality of your writing.
