Introduction provides overview of presentation, presentation supports introduction and ends with appropriate conclusion. Research and preparation are evident, content is presented briefly. Main ideas are supported with appropriate facts, examples or details. Two or three sources are used, mentioned and cited. Most visuals are attractive, all support the theme/ content of the presentation. More preparation of the material is necessary. Some overview is given, connection between introduction and presentation is sometimes unclear. Content shows problem with research and brief presentation. Some main ideas are supported with facts, examples or details. One or two sources are used but cited inappropriately. All visuals are attractive but a few do not seem to support the theme/content of the presentation. Little evidence of preparation. Introduction does not give overview, organization is unclear or presentation ends without conclusion. Presentation of content is incoherent. Main ideas are unclear, facts, examples and details are lacking or fail to support ideas. No sources are cited or mentioned. Visuals are unattractive and most have no connection with the theme/content. 2
3 Speaking skills Clear pronunciation, paraphrases, uses gap fillers and common expressions related to theme, appropriate use of connectors. Some mumbling, does not paraphrase, some gap fillers used appropriately, uses few common expressions, repetitive use of connectors. Pronunciation often not clear, very few expressions related to theme, lack of connectors or repetitive use of connectors. Los miembros del grupo se autoevalúan con la siguiente lista de cotejo: STATEMENTS 1 I finished my part on time 2 I suggested ideas and/or solutions 3 I listenened to ideas of other members of my group with respect 4 I always showed a positive attitude YES/NO 3
I usually/often call her in the morning. Ø Expresarse con claridad, usando palabras y expresiones de uso común, sinónimos, palabras compuestas; por ejemplo: look for/after ; cheap enough. Ø Unir ideas; por ejemplo: It is raining today, as a result the air will be cleaner in the city; we wouldn t use gas unless it was cheap. Ø Describir situaciones hipotéticas o imaginarias y dar consejos; por ejemplo: If I were you, I would tell her the truth; He would meet more people if he spoke English.
