Su apoyo como un voluntario del programa LIFE después de la escuela es parte de una solución positiva para el éxito de nuestros estudiantes latinos en la escuela y la vida. El programa LIFE es un 501(c) 3 sin fines de lucro. Sirve como un refugio seguro para alumnos del 1º a 8 º grado (la mayoría son 1 º - 6 º) para venir después de la escuela del martes al viernes, vacaciones escolares y durante el verano, para ayudar a hacer las tareas así como recreación, tutoría, mejora de habilidades sociales y liderazgo, programación básica de computadora, artes, música y otras actividades de enriquecimiento. Tutores adultos son una gran parte de nuestro programa. El mejor talento especial necesario es una actitud de cuidado. El poco tiempo como una vez a la semana o cada dos semanas pueden tener un impacto sobre la vida de un niño. Las sesiones de tutoría son 3:30-5:00, el martes, el miércoles y el jueves. Tenemos más necesidad de tutores adultos el miércoles y el jueves. Los alumnos quieren estar en el programa, están deseosos de aprender y actuar respetuosamente. Sus padres deciden enviar a su hijo debido a la reputación y el éxito del programa de LIFE después de la escuela. Nuestros estudiantes aprenden a tener éxito y prosperar en la escuela. The East Salinas area is full of hard working people and rich cultural experiences but there are also distractions in the community where our students reside. Your support as a LIFE Afterschool program volunteer is a part of a positive solution for our Latino students success in school and life. The LIFE Program is a 501(c) 3 non-profit. It serves as a safe haven for 1st graders through 8th graders (majority are 1st -6th) to come after school on Tuesdays through Fridays, school breaks and summer time, for homework help as well as recreation, mentoring,, social and leadership skills enhancement, basic computer programming, arts, music and other enrichment activities. Adult tutors are a big part of our program. The best special talent necessary is a caring attitude. As little time as once a week or every other week can have an impact over the lifetime of a child. Tutoring sessions are 3:30-5:00, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The most need for adult tutors are Wednesdays and Thursdays. The students want to be in the program, are eager to learn and act respectfully. Their parents choose to send their child because of the reputation and success of the LIFE Afterschool program. Our students learn to be successful and thrive in school. Your support can help make it better. Although it is not a church sponsored program, the program is located on a church property in East Salinas.
