Sexual Molestation is about the victim Many people are affected by abuse, but the individual most impacted is the victim who has suffered a violation of trust that can affect his or her entire life. The abuser, the family of the abused and the parish community are all affected by this sin and crime, but the primary person of concern must be the victim. Jugis, will celebrate a Mass for United States military personnel on Monday, May 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of Saint Patrick in Charlotte. The Mass and rosary (to be recited at 10:30 a.m.) will be offered for all military personnel who have died, retired and for those who are now serving. All military personnel are invited and encouraged to come in uniform. 9 Yo soy la vid verdadera, y mi Padre es el viñador Juan 15, 1-8 Oración introductoria Señor, tú me has dicho que si no estoy unido a la vid no puedo dar fruto. Yo sé que tú eres esa vid, y que la oración es lo que me une a ti. Ayúdame en esta meditación a conocerte más para estar tan unido a ti que no pueda separarme jamás y así pueda llevar mucho fruto de amor en mi vida. Petición Señor, que jamás me separe de ti. Meditación del Papa Para realizar esto, debéis permanecer unidos a Cristo. Sus palabras son la base de vuestra eficacia: "Yo soy la vid. Vosotros los sarmientos... porque sin mí no podéis hacer nada" (Jn 15,5). Él os llama también hoy a un mayor amor, porque os invita a una permanente conversión del corazón. Os llama a una mayor unión con El en su Iglesia, pues es allí donde le encontráis. Y la unión con Cristo en su Iglesia es la condición esencial de toda vuestra eficacia apostólica. Es Cristo quien os confía vuestra misión, una misión que, sin embargo, está coordinada dentro de la unidad de su Cuerpo mediante los Pastores de la Iglesia. Esto explica el gran valor que tiene una amorosa comunión de fe y disciplina con vuestros obispos quienes, como dice la Carta a los Hebreos, "velan sobre vuestras almas, como quien ha de dar cuenta de ellas" (He 13,17). Habéis escuchado la Buena Noticia de la salvación y la habéis abrazado con alegría, produciendo frutos de justicia y santidad de vida. Pero es importante que la gracia de la fe se desarrolle en vosotros y en todos los creyentes con la ayuda de Dios, y os conduzca a un conocimiento más profundo de la persona y del mensaje de nuestro Señor Jesucristo (cf. Catechesi tradendae CTR 19). La necesidad de una catequesis sistemática es una de las mayores necesidades de la Iglesia en este momento. Es un gran reto para vosotros como católicos. Como seglares, estáis llamados, individual y colectivamente, a hacer frente a este reto. Entre todas las oportunidades que tenéis abiertas para el ejercicio del apostolado individual, la familia ocupa un lugar de primordial importancia. La familia puede proporcionar una respuesta eficaz a la secularización del mundo; la familia tiene un carisma especial para transmitir la fe y para estimular en su desarrollo una evangelización inicial. Dentro de la intimidad de la familia, cada individuo puede encontrar la oportunidad para dar un testimonio personal del amor de Cristo. Los padres tienen el derecho y el deber de catequizar a sus hijos; tienen el inmenso privilegio de ser los primeros en enseñar a sus hijos a rezar. Con palabras de mi predecesor Juan Pablo I, me gustaría "estimular a los padres en su papel de educadores de los hijos; ellos son los primeros catequistas y los mejores. Qué gran tarea tienen y qué reto! Enseñar a sus hijos a amar a Dios, a hacer de este amor una realidad de su vida. Y, por gracia de Dios, qué fácilmente aciertan algunas familias a cumplir la misión de ser primum seminarium; el germen de una vocación al sacerdocio se alimenta a través de la oración familiar, el ejemplo de fe y apoyo de amor". Jesús es la vid y a través de Él --como la linfa en el árbol-- hace llegar a los sarmientos el amor mismo de Dios, el Espíritu Santo. Es así: nosotros somos los sarmientos, y a través de esta parábola, Jesús nos quiere hacer entender la importancia de estar unidos con Él. Los sarmientos no son autosuficientes, sino que dependen totalmente de la vid, en la cual se encuentra el manantial de la vida de ellos. Así es para nosotros los cristianos. Insertados con el bautismo en Cristo, hemos recibido de Él gratuitamente el don de la vida nueva y podemos quedarnos en comunión vital con Cristo. Reflexión Cristo quiere que esté unido a Él, no sólo para que yo pueda seguir vivo, es decir en vida de gracia, sino también para que mi testimonio como cristiano sea verdadero y coherente, mi oración debe ser un querer llenarme de Dios para después poderlo transmitir. Propósito Buscar unirme a Dios a lo largo de este día para que sea Él quien actúe a través de mí en cada uno de mis actos. Diálogo con Cristo Jesús, haz que no tenga miedo de ser un auténtico cristiano, sabiendo que lo único que me pides es vivir siempre unido a ti, y que la recompensa que me das eres tú mismo. Que no quiera huir del sacrificio y la renuncia con tal de que cada vez sea más semejante a ti. A lo largo del día, repitamos con frecuencia: "Lávame, Señor, de mis pecados y límpiame de toda iniquidad". (Madre Teresa de Calcuta)
