Ella me puede ayudar a. Here are some suggestions: Page 2: Explain that this book shows brothers and sisters having fun together. On every page, one child in the photo tells what is happening. Choices for Support Concepts of Print Have children name the capitalized letter of the first word in each sentence and point to the last word. Phonemic Awareness and Word Work Provide practice as needed with words and sounds, using one of the following activities: Listening Game Have children listen for words that rhyme with jugar. Say jugar and another word such as bailar. Have children raise their hands if the two words rhyme and keep their hands in their laps if the words do not rhyme. Additional words to use: color, andar, sacar, yo, amigo, cerrar, mío, pintar, favor. Segment Sentences Say a sentence of three to fi ve words, speaking naturally, and have children say each word separately. Example sentences: Nos gusta montar en bicicleta; Nos gusta correr; Este juego es divertido; Las hermanas juegan. Build Words Materials: magnetic or cardboard letters. Writing About Reading Vocabulary Practice Read the directions and have children complete the Vocabulario questions on Hoja reproducible 27.1. Responding Have children complete the vocabulary activities on page 7. Building Vocabulary Family Members Build on the relationships shown in to talk about names for family members.
