1 INTRODUCCIÓN Responsible management policy La Política de Gestión Responsable de Bankia constituye un marco de referencia global y transversal. Establece los pilares sobre los que Bankia debe desarrollar las relaciones con sus grupos de interés y es la base para inspirar políticas, planes de acción y procedimientos con el fin de trasladar a la realidad del día a día los compromisos de la entidad. Esta política contribuye a orientar el negocio, gestionar los riesgos, aprovechar oportunidades, dialogar, trabajar y avanzar juntos, con el objetivo de convertir a Bankia en el mejor banco comercial de España, en base a clientes satisfechos, riesgo controlado y equipos comprometidos, obteniendo el reconocimiento social. 3 Introduction Bankia s responsible management policy is a global, cross-company reference framework. It establishes the pillars on which Bankia bases its stakeholder relationships and forms the inspiration for policies, action plans and procedures, as a means of articulating the bank s commitments through its everyday actions. This policy helps to orientate the business; manage risk; make the most of opportunities; and to communicate, work and progress together to make Bankia the best commercial bank in Spain. 4 Value creation Putting the how ahead of the what Bankia s sustainability is based on its competitiveness and its capacity to create value, through a management approach that enables it to continue its business in the medium and long term. 6 Ethics and Integrity, Doing what we say Zero tolerance of corrupt conduct and practices or any form of corruption explicitly stated in the management of the bank s activities and in its relations with stakeholders, implemented by means of rigorous internal regulations and mechanisms for detecting any type of corruption. 7 Respect for Human Rights, Based on coexistence Supporting, respecting and protecting internationally recognised fundamental human rights in the course of our financial activities, especially in granting financing to companies and contracting suppliers. Responsible management policy 5

Using this knowledge to steer the bank s actions and projects so that they enable the customer s experience to be improved and to build and consolidate excellent long-term relations. 9 Clarity, simplicity and understanding, Identified with the customer Offering the products and services that are right for each customer s needs, ensuring that information is provided in a clear and transparent way, as well as thorough and high-quality advice that helps us to strengthen and build on our customers trust, enabling us to earn the confidence of potential customers. 13 Social commitment Local development and closeness Identifying priority demands in society and developing and promoting social investment to generate wealth in the community and to support the most vulnerable groups in society. Promoting participation in projects and activities through volunteering, to strengthen the link between Bankia, the people that make up the company, its customers and their immediate environment. 14 Approval of the policy The responsible management policy is approved by Bankia s Board of Directors and will be periodically reviewed so that it continues to be aligned with the bank s values and corporate strategy, and the demands, requests and needs of the company s stakeholders, in order to fulfil and achieve Bankia s mission and vision. Bankia has created a responsible management committee to define and/or propose the policy, the implementation of the responsible management, and the projects and goals in this matter.
