JOHN VIANNEY CHURCH In April 2011, St. John Vianney Church in Hacienda Heights burned to the ground. The fire raged for over six hours as Los Angeles County firefighters battled 60 to 100 foot high flames. Committed to rebuilding, the parish began a Rise Again Campaign which continues to this day. To assist them in sharing their story and efforts to rebuild, the Cathedral will display a special exhibit of photographs and artifacts from this tragic event. There exists a special bond between the Cathedral and St. John Vianney Church as it is the home parish of Cathedral Pastor, Msgr. Kevin. There is still time to be counted as Founding members of that endowment. There are brochures in the pews, take one home and pray over what sort of legacy do you want after you are gone.
