The U.S. Embassy is seeking an individual fr the psitin f Special Security Guard in the Reginal Security Office (RSO). Basic Functin f Psitin Serves as bdyguard fr the U.S. Ambassadr, perfrming a full range f prtective security functins. The incumbent must wrk as part f a team f Embassy bdyguards, PNP bdyguards, and mtr pl drivers. Serves as bdyguard/driver fr advance, lead r fllw cars as required. When serving as driver will cnduct a cmplete IED (Imprvised Explsive Device) sweep at the beginning f each shift and will check the prper functining f all vehicular systems, reprting any detected deficiencies in writing. Educatin: Cmpletin f secndary schl is required. 2. Prir Wrk Experience: One year f experience as military, plice r private sectr bdyguard is required.

2 3. Language: Level I (Rudimentary) Speaking/Reading/Writing English ability. Level III (Gd wrking knwledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing Spanish ability is required. This will be tested. 4. Knwledge: Must becme familiar with DSS bdyguard prcedures t include: Escrt prtective detail respnsibilities, full prtective detail respnsibilities and psitins, advances, mtrcade frmatins, prper firearms prcedures, and DSS use frce guidelines. 5. Skills and Abilities: Must qualify t DSS firearms standards n all issued weapns three times a year. Must pass DSS physical fitness examinatin n a yearly basis. Must pssess valid driver s and firearms licenses. Selectin Prcess When equally qualified, US Citizen Eligible Family Members (AEFMs) and U.S. Veterans will be given preference.
