2 Writing a Script guide Tres años después With your team, you will write a script based on the drama El Anillo del general Macias. You will write a scene three year after the events in the original story occurred. You may want to answer some questions such as what are the events have been occurred since Andres dead? In what way the political situation has been changed in the country since the Rebels wont the war? How these events have affected Raquel and Mariana s lives? How all the people live since the revolution was ended? What happened with the general Macias? Did he really die? You may focus your scene in one or two of the above questions. You may add any new character. But you should keep the main characters. Your script must include stage directions, asides, narrations and dialogues. Besides, in your script you should establish the settings, plot, climax and create a closed ending for the story. Play You and your team must present the play, you must include props, make up and memorize the lines. You have the option to record your play and upload on YouTube, or save it in a memory and bring it to the class. Escribiendo un libreto (guía) Con tu equipo vas a escribir un guión basándote en la obra El anillo del general Macías. Escribirán una escena en la que aparezca Raquel tres años después. Tal vez quieran hacerse algunas de las siguientes preguntas: Qué sucesos han ocurrido desde la muerte de Andrés? De qué manera ha cambiado la situación política y cómo ha afectado la vida de Raquel y Mariana? Cómo vive la gente desde que la revolución terminó? Qué pasó con el general Macías, realmente murió? Puedes desarrollar tu escena en una o dos de las preguntas anteriores, tu drama debe incluir, apartes, acotaciones escénicas, diálogos y narraciones. Puedes agregar un nuevo personaje, pero no debes excluir los personajes principales. Además, tu guión debe contener la trama con su punto culminante y un final cerrado. Obra de teatro Junto con tu equipo presenta tu obra de teatro, incluye utilería, maquillaje y debes memorizar tus diálogos. Tienes la opción de granar tu obra y subirla a YouTube, o bien, guardarla en una memoria USB y traerla a la clase para presentarla. 2

9 (SAMPLE ONE writing portion) El Anillo del General Macias Por Josefina Niggli ( ) Producido y Dirigido por: Students team names where deleted here A continuacion Tres años después Escena uno: En la casa de la viuda del General, sentada en un sillón se encuentra Raquel, Mariana su cuñada entra y habla con Raquel MARIANA: (dirigiéndose a Raquel) Ay Raquel! Todavía estás llorando por la muerte de mi hermano? Yo todavía tengo fe en Dios de que el está vivo. RAQUEL: (llorando) Ahora yo se lo que estabas sufriendo tu cuando perdiste a Tomas. Yo ya perdi la fe de que este vivo, han sido tres anos! Yo se que mi esposo esta muerto. (Se tira al sillon y llora mas) MARIANA:(Consolando a Raquel) Ya te dije que no me hables de Tomas, yo ya encontré a mi nuevo amor y pronto me casare. Escena Dos: En una sierra en Mexico, sale un hombre que aparentemente es el General Macias que vive y se le ve montado en un caballo, regresando a su casa después de 3 años que han pasado después de la revolución. Escena Tres: Casa del General. Se ve llegar a un hombre montando su caballo y llegando a casa de las viudas. Raquel y Mariana. (Macias toca la puerta y Mariana contesta) MARIANA: (sorprendida) Hermano! Yo sabia que estabas vivo! (se abrazan) GENERAL MACIAS:(serio) Hermana, donde esta la traidora de Raquel? MARIANA: (confundida) Por que le dices traidora? Ella nomas se la lleva llorando y llorando por ti. MACIAS: (interrumpe a Mariana)!No mas dime donde esta! MARIANA: (aun confundida) Esta alla dentro, pasa. (entran a la casa) RAQUEL:(no ha visto a Macias y escuchando una conversación) Mariana, que es todo estae escandalo? 9

10 MARIANA: Mi hermano ha llegado! Y dice que eres una traidora, porque eres una traidora?! RAQUEL:(sin poder creer) Macias?! MACIAS: Soy yo, tu esposo, el que quierias que fusilaran RAQUEL:(corre a Macias) Macias! MACIAS: (Rechazandola) Espera Raquel. RAQUEL:(llorando) Lo hice por tu honor MACIAS: Y yo lo hice por nuestro amor, pero tu perdiste tus valores cuando mataste a esos campesinos. Este es el final de nuestra relacion. RAQUEL: (arrepentida, grita) NO! MACIAS:(quitandole el anillo) Tu no mereces este anillo. (Raquel llora y Macias se aleja) Dias despues Escena Final: Antes de la boda de Mariana. MACIAS: Hermana, te entrego este anillo. Y ojala tu amor pueda vencer todo. FIN. 10
