2 Fourth Sunday of Easter April 26, 2015 THE THEME TODAY IS THE GOOD SHEPHERD Acts 4:8-12. Peter reminds us that there is no salvation except through Jesus. 1 John 3:1-2. In the second reading tell his love for us God has made us his children. John 10: Jesus as the Good Shepherd who knows his sheep untimely and known by them. All the images we have of Jesus, one of the loveliest is that of the Good Shepherd. Jesus is the Good Shepherd who guides us on the path of life. We may not connect immediately with the central image of our Gospel today the Shepherd with his sheep. Perhaps we do not see ourselves as docile sheep. But this image my become more understandable if we truly embrace Jesus as the Good Shepherd, allow him to guide us on the path to eternal life. The second reading and the Gospel reminded of two important truths of our faith that we are the children of God and that Jesus is the God Shepherd. The theme of all the three reading perhaps it is this: the great love God has shown us in what he has done for us in Jesus, the Good-shepherd and our one and only savior. EL TEMA DE HOY ES EL BUEN PASTOR Hechos 4: Pedro nos recuerda que no hay salvación excepto a través de Jesús. 1 Juan 3: 1-2. En la segunda lectura contar su amor por nosotros Dios nos ha hecho sus hijos. Juan 10: Jesús es presentado como el Buen Pastor que conoce a sus ovejas destiempo y las ovejas lo conocen a él. Todas las imágenes que tenemos de Jesús, uno de los más hermosos es el del Buen Pastor. Jesús es el Buen Pastor que nos guía en el camino de la vida. Es posible que no conectar inmediatamente con la imagen central de nuestro Evangelio de hoy - el pastor con sus ovejas. Tal vez no nos vemos a nosotros mismos como ovejas dóciles. Pero esta imagen es más comprensible si realmente aceptamos a Jesús como el Buen Pastor, permitimos que él nos guíe en el camino a la vida eterna. La segunda lectura y el Evangelio recuerdan las dos importantes verdades de nuestra fe - de que somos hijos/hijas de Dios y que Jesús es el Dios Pastor. El tema de todas las tres lecturas tal vez es este: el gran amor que Dios nos ha mostrado en lo que él ha hecho por nosotros en Jesús, el Buen Pastor, y nuestro único Salvador. 2

On Sunday, April 26, 2015, there will be a Registration in the Parish Hall from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Early registrations for the school year will be taken for all St. Joseph Faith Formation programs for elementary and high school students and adults (including First Communion, Confirmation and RCIA). Early registrations from April 26 - May 1 will include fee discounts for those who pay in full at that time. Starting Monday, May 4, 2015, registrations for Faith Formation programs will be taken in the parish office during regular office hours. Classes will begin on Sunday, September 20, Prepárense para inscribirse en los programas de Formación de Fe para el próximo año escolar!
