Consejos para viajeros A B C Al llegar a Barajas, debe salir hasta la parada de los taxis que operan oficialmente en el aeropuerto y subir al primero de la cola. Compruebe si el taxímetro está en marcha, y al llegar al centro no pague mucho más de veinte euros; hay taxistas que intentan cobrar más dinero a los turistas. También puede coger un autobús por menos dinero; hay un excelente servicio que comunica con la Plaza de Colón cada quince minutos. El metro es excelente. El billete individual es caro pero puede viajar más barato con un abono de diez viajes. Los autobuses son muy prácticos para ciertos recorridos, especialmente para subir y bajar la Castellana. Para comprar billetes de autobús se sigue un procedimiento idéntico al del metro. Los taxis son más caros, pero son necesarios por la noche para volver al hotel de bares y discotecas. Madrid es una ciudad bastante segura y las agresiones o asaltos a mano armada son infrecuentes. Sin embargo, hay una red de carteristas en el centro y en algunas líneas de Metro, como la que va desde la Puerta del Sol a la Plaza de Castilla. El peligro es menor si lleva su cartera en un bolsillo cerrado o su cámara en un lugar seguro.
