4 Page 4 Sunday XXXIII in Ordinary Time November 13, 2016 DOMINGO XXXIII DEL TIEMPO ORDINARIO Al final de la historia humana-una historia llena de fracasos, de pecados, de injusticia-verá, por fín, suprimido, todo ese mal, y cada cual serán tratados según la parte que haya tenido en el triunfo de la perversión. Porque, de hecho, cada uno tiene, ciertamente, alguna responsabilidad en el triunfo del mal. Por eso, no hay que estar nunca satisfecho de nuestra conducta y de nuestra fe. Los Judíos estaban orgullosos de sus tradiciones y de la grandiosidad de su templo. Y Jesús sorprende a todos con una profecía: Esto que contempláis, llegara un día en que no quedara piedra: todo será destruido. Es terrible golpe contra la seguridad de los Judíos, basada en la solidez del templo y en la grandiosidad del culto. Esto quiere decirnos que toda falsa seguridad del hombre, basa en sus obras, por muy colosales que sean, viene atacada y destruida del cuando y del como. Rechazo absoluto para fijar una fecha y una señal. Mas que informar, Jesús pretende preparar. Dice San Agustín: Se nos ha ocultado esa hora, para que seamos fieles durante todos los días. Y los discípulos, es decir, nosotros, los cristianos tenemos que afrontar este tiempo intermedio, con fidelidad a la palabra de Dios, dando pruebas de lucidez contra las sugestiones del falso mesías-salvador y estando siempre dispuesto a dar testimonio de nuestra fe frente a cualquiera y a cualquier precio. Nada de ilusiones. Seréis odiados a causa de mi nombre. Solo quien no desfallezca, quien no huya, quien no traicione su fe es digno del nombre de cristiano y puede afrontar serenamente el juicio final. Con vuestra perseverancia salvareis vuestras almas.
