Universidad de Valencia Bienvenida Bienvenido a la Primera Conferencia Internacional de Nuevas Tecnologías para Personas con Trastornos del Espectro del Autismo (TEA), un congreso que se propone como punto de encuentro sobre tecnologías para las personas con TEA, sus familias y los profesionales que trabajan en este ámbito y todos aquellos que estén interesados en conocer las ventajas de las distintas tecnologías aplicadas al mundo del autismo. Valencia, del 6 al 8 de julio de Tecnologías para el Autismo: herramientas, tendencias y testimonios tiene como principales objetivos: n Crear un espacio de diálogo internacional entre los investigadores, las empresas tecnológicas, las familias y los profesionales de la intervención para intercambiar ideas sobre la aplicación de las nuevas tecnologías al mundo del autismo y detectar avances y necesidades en este campo. n Presentar los últimos hallazgos de investigación. n Presentar testimonios y resultados de uso de programas tecnológicos por parte de profesionales de la intervención, familiares y de las propias personas con autismo. n Crear un espacio para recibir retroalimentación por parte de los usuarios de la tecnología y los profesionales de la intervención para que la tecnología pueda adaptarse cada vez más a las necesidades. n Crear un foro para contribuir a trazar el futuro en este ámbito y definir cómo utilizar los conocimientos generados en el campo de la tecnología y el autismo.

It has been proposed as an international meeting point for people with ASD, their families and for professionals as well as anyone interested in gaining knowledge about the advantages of the new technologies available for autism. In Valencia from the 6th to the 8th of July Technology for Autism: Tools, Trends and Testimonials. The main aims of the conference are to: n Present the latest research findings in the field of technology and autism. n Invite researchers and companies to demonstrate their latest technological advances. n Create a platform for feedback from the users of technology and practitioners. n Hold networking events to facilitate discussion amongst relevant stakeholders: e.g. family members, technology experts and companies. n Host a forum to map out the future of the field and how to best utilize the breadth of opinion and experience in the technology and autism community. 3
