5 EASTER LILIES FOR THE CATHEDRAL Easter Lilies may be purchases in memory or in dedication of a loved one. The lilies will then be used to decorate the altar and sanctuary during the Easter season. Your loved one s name will be displayed on the plant. For sale one weekend only February 27th and 28th Lilies are $15 per plant. Only 100 will be sold. SS. 6 ST. VINCENT DE PAUL In today s Gospel Jesus took Peter, James and John and went up the mountain to pray. From the cloud came a voice that said, This is my chosen Son; listen to him. It is through our giving and loving the Lord s poor that we may hear the voice of our Lord, Jesus. When we bring our bags of groceries to Church and drop them in the SVdP Food Boxes, we are listening to Jesus. When we drop our alms into the Poor Box, we are listening to Jesus. Please remember our Lenten Soup Supper this Wed. Feb. 24 from 4:00-6:30 p.m. in the School Cafeteria. The soup will be donated by the Religious Education Ministry and St. Vincent de Paul is so grateful for all the time and energy given for love of the poor. We have two forms of this experience available. The first is a short term student volunteer host family. Host a Catholic high school student from France during the month of April or November. The second is a year long program where you host an international student from China for the duration of the academic year.
