1 AVANZARAP! TEACHING SUGGESTIONS LEVEL 1 Preliminary Unit Cómo te llamas tú? Pre-viewing First, play the video without sound. Draw students attention to the screen where themes from the song are featured. Have students guess the words used in the song, based on the situations and objects represented in the video and on what they learned in the. Viewing Play the video again with sound. Have students fill out the Black Line Master (BLM) as they watch the video for the second time. Post-viewing Have students confirm or correct their guesses from the previewing activity. In groups of three or four, have them make lists of words and expressions they think might be used in the song, based on the song theme. Viewing Have students confirm or correct their guesses as they watch the video. Post-viewing Share the complete lyrics with the class and explain unfamiliar words.
