Possible prompts include: 1. You are writing your profile for a Spanish social networking site. Fill in the blanks to form complete sentences that describe yourself. You will include: your nationality, at least 3-4 physical descriptions, 3-4 personality traits, 3-4 classes you and 5 activities you enjoy. Be sure to add details! Your profile should be a minimum of 8-10 sentences. **Present tense and lección vocabulary, you may also use gustar- like verbs from lección 7** 2. You are going on a trip to the beach. List (in Spanish of course!): 5 items that you are going to pack, 3 activities (verbs) that you are going to do there, 3 possible modes of transportation to get there, 2 or 3 expressions about how you are feeling about the trip, and 2 or 3 expressions about what the weather will be like there.

VOCABULARY USAGE 15 Excellent: Specific, appropriate vocabulary is used correctly throughout the writing sample. Spelling is correct. 12 Good: Vocabulary is used correctly throughout the writing sample. Spelling is mostly correct. 9 Fair: Some mistakes in vocabulary use. Minor problems with spelling. 6 Poor: Vocabulary problems distort meaning. Frequent spelling errors. 3 Unacceptable: Communication is completely inhibited by vocabulary errors. Mistakes in spelling make the sample incomprehensible.
